Mission:
To award scholarships to graduating seniors in the Towns of Burrillville, Foster, and Glocester or those with a Masonic connection to Friendship Lodge. The scholarship is available to students from public high schools, charter schools, area career and technical centers, and private or parochial high schools. Applicants must embody the tenets of the Masonic organization of Freemasonry, which include friendship, morality, and brotherly love. The recipients should be of strong character and moral nature, loyal friends, and have demonstrated a high level of caring for others. Scholarships are available to students, regardless of gender, who will attend post-secondary institutions or training, e.g., two-year, four-year college or university, vocational/trade, or a technology institute.
Established in 1800, Friendship Lodge #7, F. & A.M. has continuously met in its historical building on Putnam Pike in Chepachet, RI. This fraternal organization is one of the oldest lodges in Rhode Island and continues to serve and support the local communities.
Application Process:
The student is to submit a completed application that includes the following:
- Personal information sheet (included below)
- A personal statement of how the student meets the criteria of the scholarship
- Two letters of recommendation (one school-based and one community-based)
- High School Transcript

Deadline: April 25, 2025
The scholarships may be awarded at a Senior Awards Ceremony at the student's high school. After completing the first semester, the award will be paid directly to the student. The student will submit a copy of the official transcript to Friendship Lodge at PO Box 458 Chepachet, RI 02814.
